Seeing Red Exhibition
The Art League of New Britain proudly presents Seeing Red, a group exhibition returning for the 2026 season. This show invites artists to explore the power, symbolism, and emotion behind the color red — a hue long associated with passion, strength, danger, and transformation.
Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme through personal, cultural, and political lenses — from love and anger to vitality and renewal. The exhibition also embraces themes of identity and gender expression, recognizing red’s deep ties to the body, emotion, and voice. Whether as a statement of empowerment, protest, or vulnerability, red has always been a color that refuses to go unnoticed.
